Refund policy
Although we hope you are happy with your purchase, we know there are times when you need to return your products for a variety of reasons. We are happy to work with you to get you exactly what you need.
To return an item, you must call (800) 466-7636 for approval and for an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization). We need this number in the shipping label of your return in order to apply credit. Returns without an RMA number may not be accepted.
Non-defective merchandise will not be accepted after 60 days.*
Customized products, including but not limited to, STOP security plates, Barcode asset tags, Asset Scanner software, and customized lock boxes are non-returnable.
CPU3, CPU3.5, CPU4 are non-returnable and non-refundable. Please ensure you are checking the interior and exterior dimensions prior to purchasing. Non-US CPU locker orders (any size) can not be returned or refunded.
*PrivateVue Privacy Monitors may be returned within thirty days from the date the merchandise was received. Please call or e-mail us for an RMA Number (Return Authorization Number). The PrivateVue monitors must be in complete manufacturer's packaging, same condition as sold, with all accessories, literature, instructions, documentation and blank warranty cards.

Damaged Merchandise:
Damaged in shipping:
Due to the guidelines from our shipping partners, all claims for merchandise damaged during shipping are due no later than 10 days after the receipt of the merchandise. For visible box damage, please hold on to all shipping materials. Call us at (800) 466-7636 and we will make arrangements with the shipping company to return the product to us. We will work with you to get replacement product delivered to you as soon as possible.
Manufacturer Defect:
If you receive product with a manufacturer defect, we will replace this at no charge to you. We will work with you to determine the best way to get the defective product back to our warehouse, again at no cost to you. Please call (800) 466-7636 to discuss this defect and to obtain an RMA number and shipping instructions.
Unwanted purchases:
If you receive your products and decide you wish to return them, please read below:
- All returned merchandise must be in original manufacturers packaging, same condition as sold, with all accessories, keys, literature, instructions, and documentation.
- Return freight is the sole responsibility of the consumer.
- Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable (including all refused and unaccepted packages).
- Refunds on returned items which were paid by credit card will only be made by crediting the account charged for the purchase.
- Refunds on returned items which were paid for by wire transfer or check will be made by check after a 10-day waiting period.
- For exchanges, your credit card will be charged for the new merchandise. We will apply the credit after receiving the returned merchandise back.
If any of the above conditions are not met, Computer Security Products, Inc. reserves the right to refuse the return, or charge a 20% restocking fee.
Return Instructions:
- Obtain an RMA # by calling (800) 466-7636 or emailing Help@ComputerSecurity.com .
- Place the manufacturers box into a shipping carton.
- Please do not place stickers or shipping labels on the original manufacturers package.
- For your protection, insure the package and ship via a traceable method. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages.
